Abstract

The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in library and information services delivery has significantly enhanced accessibility and learning opportunities for students with special needs. This paper examines the various applications of ICT that facilitate inclusivity, discussing tools, technologies, and practices that libraries have adopted to cater to their diverse needs. It discovers the benefits of these technologies, and tools including improved access to information, personalized learning experiences, and enhanced independence for students with special needs. The article also addresses the challenges and considerations in implementing ICT solutions in library services delivery, emphasizing the importance of ongoing training and support for both library staff and users. In conclusion, the integration of ICT into library services delivery offers numerous benefits for students with special needs, including enhanced accessibility, personalized learning experiences, increased independence, AR/VR applications, mobile solutions and the creation of an inclusive learning environment. Through a comprehensive review of current practices and literature, this article highlights the critical role of ICT in creating inclusive educational environments.
